That's all good in theory -- but what about when you've been marketing yourself in person, online, by cold calls, etc. for years without acceptance? Resiliently saying all the expected things like, "I'll increase your profit X% by doing A,B, and C, activities which I've already done in my courses and student leadership positions?" And all they can say is "good luck" if they don't outright hide from you like the cowards they are!

Student government project management doesn't seem to amount to anything in the eyes of employers, even though I've stated the value of my experience and aptitudes both directly and with substantial spin to persuade potential employers, and three years later I no longer care what employers think. They don't give feedback on how I could have met their needs, either! They have only themselves to blame for all these unqualified applicants throwing themselves at positions for which the candidates truly believe they are qualified for.

So those arrogant "job creators" can do whatever they think is important, and I'll write for my own benefit. And Parkside's neighbor, UWM, hasn't been doing too well on preparing its students for careers: http://absurdjobvacancies.blogspot.com/2013/02/training-to-become-municipal-manager.html
