New Library Catalog!

The library has a new catalog! Over the Fall semester of 2012, we will be testing a new catalog. If you go to our homepage, you can check it out under "New Library Catalog" with the Beta
marker next to it. It's also available at http://search.library.wisconsin.edu/?school_code=WKenU

Introducing FORWARD

We will be highlighting some of the new features in the upcoming months, but some of the major highlights are:

--Much nicer, more modern layout.
--Single Sign on (what we use to authenticate in

to D2L) to view account, place requests, etc. Instead of a p number, you log in using your netID.
--Easier searching and navigability.
--Ability to easily switch between local searching and UW searching at the click of a button.
--Ability to browse via subjects, authors, etc.
--You can share records via Facebook and other social networking sites.

There are still issues with the catalog, and we are aware of some of them. Please let us know if you run into anything by e-mailing us at library.tech@uwp.edu or send an issue directly to the developers by using the "contact us" button on the page.
