Oh, yeah, I'm hanging with big dogs: George Koonce, former Packer and now UWM AD; Shirley Abrahamson, chief justice of the Wisconsin Supreme Court; and Wayne "The voice of the Packers" Larrivee. It was exciting!
This was cool, my picture with Wayne Larrivee, the voice of the Packers. Wayne -- can I come up to the booth this fall. I really want to meet "The Rock," Larry McCarren. Pleeeeeeeez!?
You all know Joel Buschmann from the Admissions Office. I think he said something about wanting a picture for his office.
Here we are with some great young people who signed up for the Wisconsin Covenant. The deal is: They get good grades, graduate from high school, promise to be good citizens, and help our their communities and the state promises them a spot in a university, college or tech school in Wisconsin. That's a good deal.
Here I am with the governor of Wisconsin. (I didn't mention the fact that bears are not allowed to vote in the Badger State). Now think about that for a moment: Here is Wisconsin, known as the Badger State, the badger is an animal (and believe me they are crazy), yet animals are not allowed to vote in the Badger State??!!
Even with heavy hitters at the Wisconsin Covenant event (the Gov, George Koonce, Wayne Larrivee, Shirley Abrahamson) my fans were linin' up for an autograph. Lemetellya, I am glad to sign an autograph for whoever wants one. I luv my fans!
Oh, yeah, me and another former Green Bay Packer great -- linebacker George Koonce. GK was just appointed AD at UWM -- which made for a somewhat awkward moment. He mentioned something about conflict of interest given he's with UWM and I'm with UW-P. I told him Pounce, the Panthers mascot, and I were buds and then things were OK.
