I shot this picture out of my window in my office of the south end of the union during construction. It's fun to come in every week and see all the progress the project has taken.
Here is the UW-Admissions rep gang at the McHenry County College Fair. We see eachother a lot in the fall and spring at Illinois college fairs, and you can find us noshing on munchies pre-fair in "a UW pack" in the rep hospitality room. They are a great group of people and we always share road-stories and travel tips (ie: best hotels to stay at!). (Top, L-R: UW-Oshkosh, UW-Madison, UW-Platteville, UW-Lacrosse. Bottom, L-R: UW-Stevens Point and UW-Whitewater).
Shavon, Nikki and Carly take a moment to pose before speaking at the Latino Open House
GOOD MORNING! It was early and this was before the motivational speaker! :)
This is Joe Tullo, Director of Mundelein High School's College/Career Center. Check out the excellent website he created (excellent resources!) on my October blog!
Admissions Counselor Sergio Correa gives the camera a smile before the hundreds of students enter the S.A.C.
Admissions Counselor Desmar and S.A.C Building Manager and UW-P Tracy holdin' it down at the WEF welcome/check-in table.
Admissions Counselor Jessica Diaz and Campus Ambassador Ali Fairchild take a second to say "Hi" to the camera.
Get it? Two "Hernia movers" trucks? ...um, never-mind.
Actually saw these guys on the way down to Illinois for some High School Visits and I HAD to take a pic.
I was checking out room service, and in the back I found this.
Tootie (our Westie) only wishes he was here!
I was on the phone with Chris and my room started shaking and I heard explosions! Here's what I saw out my window that Friday night.
I thought the fireworks were the bomb (ok, bad pun)...
But seriously, this was even more beautiful!
I tried to get it all in one frame - the floor of the National College Fair (before the thousands of people showed up.)
Our Director of Admissions, Matt came to help with the booth - this was the few times I was able to step away since we were so busy!
My parents, Joseph & Ann Sicuro, stopped by to surprise me at Navy Pier - they were in town for a convention the same weekend I was in town for the fair.
While stopping over in Whitewater I met with UW-P Alum Luis Benevoglienti for dinner.
It was fun catching up with him. Luis is a residence hall director at UW-Whitewater.
Here you can see the reconstruction of the ancient city's stockade, with a sacred mound behind it.
For such a small school (senior class of 70, I was happy to see 4 seniors!), and we had a great visit.
Fresh out of several Nona's kitchens (and some made by the students themselves), are fresh baked goods for sale by UW-Parkside's Insieme Italia (Italian Student Union). The same week, they also held a Halloween candy drive for the Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha.
My husband Chris, gets into the Halloween Spirit by stuffing a dozen plastic pumpkins full of candy for the offices he calls on (for his job).
An early October morning, trying to be "Glamorous" for daycare with Mommy's sunglasses.
My first full weekend home in a while...but she's already up to something - I can tell it in her eyes...
