The Month in Review
April is a funny month around here. While the students are essentially winding down to the end of the semester (and some ending their undergraduate career!) a number of staff members are winding ‘up’! We’re getting everything set for commencement and closing out the semester/year. An Orientation has already taken place…so; really we’re already looking ahead to Fall! (Welcome new students!!)
It’s basically a month of transition!
Today, I heard a presentation by a few Sociology/Anthropology students reporting on an alumni survey that was done in 2007. They had a reasonable response rate of 25%, so I want to thank the folks that took the time to give them the feedback they were looking for. It was also interesting to hear what the alumni had to say. The information was more directly focused on the department, and it was obvious to me that the faculty there were listening to the information and would talk about how to use it!
I appreciate the students and the department seeking information from our alumni…a valuable resource!
I appreciate the alumni for giving these students a great learning opportunity…thanks for giving back!
On my schedule today was also a meeting to make plans for the university’s 40th Anniversary! We hope to have a nice array of celebratory events for you to take part in! I'll keep you posted! (Or, send me ideas!)
A little bit of the past, some of the present, and looking toward the future! Just another day at UW-P!
