I tend not to be a very controversial person and am surprised that I'm going to bring up a 'touchy' subject, but I have to comment on parking at UW-P.  I know everything isn't always sunshine and roses here, but one thing I won't hear of is a 'parking problem'.  You can disagree with me, but I'll just put my hands over my ears and say "La La La", because it's just Not That Bad!

And, I know!  I was a student here!  I even continued to work here after graduating (some ten years worth!) despite campus parking!  I know, because today, I'm in That last spot!  You know the one...the one that you'd really only park in if you were also trying to sell your vehicle and wanted some extra visibility!  (This is the spot I tell myself I'll park in...even in summer when spaces are plentiful...and I'll walk that little extra for my health...Right!)  And, today was not a San-Diego-type-day either!  It was chilly and windy AND my bag was heavy!  Whoa is me!

It will never be possible to have 5,000 Front Row personalized parking spaces around the entire perimeter of the complex!  I also never want to have parking rates that are in line with what 'other' campuses charge!  So, we all just need to plan ahead and wear comfy shoes!  Or, take the shuttle bus!  It works!  Again, I know!  I did it as a student And packed a lunch (carry on #2) And took art classes (carry on #3, art supply box and carry on #4, portfolio)...and I live to tell!

So...long story short...I got some exercise in today and a little fresh air!  Good thing, I needed to work off some steam!

Come out to campus!  Parking is fine!  There will be plenty of room for you Friday for Bingo and Saturday for all of the Fall Fest activities!  (check at keyword:  Fall Fest)
