Autumn is seriously the most beautiful season for this campus. Even though I enjoyed the lush green summer and the Grounds Crew did a fantastic job with the flowering beds around campus and even when we get that first blanket of snow that looks so fresh and peaceful, I just can't ever tire of the Autumn colors! Unfortunately, I was off for a few days last week and missed the peak of the colors. I tried to get a nice photo just prior, but my camera battery was dead (as usual!).
For those of us who drove in to campus, we can never forget these views:
When I came to campus as a student, I didn't get the best views because I came in off 30th Avenue from the South, but I loved coming in Hwy A from the West. That canopy of color is always amazing. Coming in Hwy JR from Hwy 31 always makes me feel like I'm in one of those great car commercials. [But do proceed with caution! It is curvey! When it snows, it's pretty slick...Sheila B. '93 and I learned that the hard way one snowy winter eve in 1992!]
My other favorite view is best from Molinaro Hall 3rd floor...looking out West over the park. It's like a big calico blanket! There are also plenty of nice views from the 2nd and 3rd floor in the library, but I know we have all been studying too hard to notice!
Look up...it's a great view!
