This is a funny little thing I notice when it snows! This is from my vantage point of the third floor of Wyllie. There's a little set of stairs I take that has a big window at the top...I seldom walk straight past, but have to stop! First, I enjoy the white blanket that I can see in all directions. Usually, the day after a good snow, there is evidence of some sort of party down below! I don't know what happens, but I envision (much like those great old Far Side comics of cows!) a squirrel perched high in a tree, or watchtower! After the last car leaves the parking lot, they ALL come out! Then, they are Busy! They are running from tree to tree, up and back. I'm tired just thinking about it! When the snow isn't as deep, you can even see the tracks and then a little dark patch..."did I put it here?" "no, over here" "maybe it was Here"! OK, so I have a fairly vivid idea of this in my head!
Anyway! I'm glad Somebody is enjoying the snow and I'm also glad I get to see some remnant of nature's activity around here. Unfortunately, we don't get to see many critters wandering about while the humans are out!
