Time and Talent Auction Update

Day one of bidding is closed.  Tomorrow the auction resumes at 10am and closes at 2pm.  There are many great 'talents' or services available and the bidding is still very competitive!

You can see the results in the photo, but they will also be posted and here's another chance to review the offerings!  We are all coveting the amazing table from Trenton Baylor.  I can't tell you where it is right now for security reasons, but I will say that I'm enjoying it as if it were mine!!!!!!....

You can bid by email between 2p Tuesday and 10a Wednesday (miles@uwp.edu) and then it's back to the silent bid sheets in Main Place!

Do check it out, stop by if you can or submit an email bid!  It's all going toward student scholarships!

Little University on the Prairie

No, it's not a new, old show!  It's the biannual burning of the prairies at UW-P!

Today they started the prescribed burns that can help preserve and protect the native wildlife and remove the undesirable plants and weeds. 

Wind speed and direction, humidity and grass moisture are considered before a burn to ensure safety and minimize smoke hazards...and around here, that stuff is pretty unpredictable.  But, the good news is that we're having some great weather, so I saw a small fraction of the project and it was quick, but dazzling!
